The National Review‘s Kevin Williamson weighs in on the “white minstrel show” that has replaced traditional, values-based conservatism with an opportunistic blend of populist anti-elitism and an abdication of personal responsibility. The drug industry lobbied Congress heavily to emasculate the DEA so they could sell more opioids, and Congressional Republicans (with the help of at least two Democrats) were more than happy to oblige, even as opioid addictions and deaths continue to surge.ProPublica investigates a new white supremacist group that espouses violence but isn’t on authorities’ radar, at least not yet, despite their involvement in multiple violent incidents.Meanwhile, Kiribati, an island nation in the central-south Pacific, may cease to exist due to climate change and rising water levels.Longreads first: Climate change is warming the Alaskan permafrost, affecting residents and potentially releasing an enormous amount of sequestered CO2 into the atmosphere, thus further accelerating global warming.I’ll be signing copies of Smart Baseball there on November 18th and plan to attend the entire event. The schedule for PAX Unplugged, a new boardgaming con to be held in Philadelphia in November, is now up.

I also posted about a big boardgame app sale going on right now from Asmodee Digital. I reviewed the card/dice game Valeria and its new expansion here on Friday my next boardgame review for Paste will go up in early November. I briefly looked at a WDS video aswell and the guy setup up the images and then loaded a network driver.I wrote two scouting posts for Insiders from my week in the Arizona Fall League, which you can read here and here. Use the whole free space on a drive once you deploy it? is this a sensible question or am I being a idiot? :) How can I possibly roll this out to other machines that have bigger hard disks? is there a way to expand a image to

The above scenario gave me a headache as immediately I though if I am installing virtually and say created a 20gig virtual windows image. Going back to my original question I googled how to create a "Golden" Windows 7 image, The guys suggested installing a Clean installation of Windows 7 virtually and then sysprepping and capturing the image. I am a noob when it comes to these technologies :) I managed to install a server 2008r2 trial on a system so will have to sit down and have a tinker.

Drivers and software comes in Task Sequence dynamically If you work only in one organization, and you can install computers via local network, just utlize MDT in standard way, creating single driver packages per a model.Īs you are beginner, remember: Image = only OS files, install.wim or captured image. In thin image model, you have only OS, maybe some additional MS components and some patches, nothing more. This is a good solution, if you work with different ogranizations, different domains etc. With only few device uninstalled, everything else is there. Most of Dell,HP,Fujitsu,Lenovo laptops are still based on Intel, so this will cover lot of devices at once. End result is almost complete computer Generic bundle drivers independendly which model you have - chipset, wlan, lan and display drivers. I use SCCM with MDT integration and here what I have done in similar situation/needs: I have a Task Sequence with UDI, which asks hostname and different options like what software you want to install, workgroup or domain join, etc.
